LUSC Chairman's Remarks

Pathfinder Eneyi Ed-Emmanuel Oyinua

The Chancellor Sir, please permit me to stand on already established protocols. It is a great honor and privilege to deliver this remark on this special day. Firstly, to our Maker and Creator, all honor and glory be unto the Lord Most High, for we would not be here without him. I would also like to appreciate The Chancellor and Chairman Board of Regents Dr. David Oyedepo for establishing this citadel of learning that we have all gained from.

Today is truly a day of celebration. A time that we as individuals have sought to reach right from our point of entry in to the great establishment. Coming in as freshman seeking to further ourselves in order to reach new heights, we began our journey. Passing through Landmark University is a unique experience, this is so due to the fact that one doesn’t just advance through this institution with a typical form of education but with the imbibing of powerful core values that teach beyond intellect and push toward divine wisdom( if accepted the right way). These values have helped mold our mind towards different thinking when compared to what is commonly seen in the world today. In a world that clamours for light, we have been groomed to be that light. People search everywhere to attain most of what we are receiving and so we can look to ourselves and decide:

“I can move on and leave it behind me or I can use it as a tool to define me but never be seen as something that confines me but rather refines me.”

We have spent the last 4/5 years striving and now we have arrived at the end of this 1 st degree journey. We have finally made it after all the ups and even higher ups. Through all the hurdles, pushing to ensure we achieve our best academically, pushing through in faith when fees and finance didn’t seem like it would come, having to sacrifice and give up and a number of things….sleep, comfort, luxuries, for some, even the meals, when one challenge or another would rise up in various forms, but we pushed through, and we overcame. Many have had some scars along the way but as our Father, the Chancellor would say “There is no Star without a scar, and the scar of every star is sacrifice.”

We emerge as stars ready to go forth, as one race comes to an end, a new one begins where we must now go into the world to overcome new forms of obstacles. A world that holds opportunity, one that will recognize the difference in us due to what we have gained here. The values instilled in us are gold but we must keep in mind that there are some in a world tainted with corruption who may want to shut the doors because were not like them but we should all know that we look to the Alpha and Omega for our success. As we know, when God opens a door no man, no situation nor economic turmoil can shut it. Our greatness is found in Christ and what He has set for us in life. So we move forward as change agents that we may break new ground and Reform our nation and our world.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Chancellor Landmark University, Bishop David Oyedepo, the Pro-Chancellor Landmark University, Pst. Mrs. Faith Oyedepo, as well as the management, pastorate, faculty and staff. A big thank you.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Chancellor Landmark University, Bishop David Oyedepo, the Pro-Chancellor Landmark University, Pst. Mrs. Faith Oyedepo, as well as the management, pastorate, faculty and staff. A big thank you.

Once again we thank God Almighty for His hand in our lives, we start with Him and we conclude with him for we are nothing without him.

Long live Landmark University !

Long live the Reformer Set!

Best Graduating Student Remarks

Pathfinder Ojo Oluwanifemi Blessing

After I shared this news with my family, we were all excited, my mum screamed with great joy sincerely appreciating God. She mentioned three things which I held on to with gratitude.

God brought me to a world class institution like Landmark University  God then provided my fees through the David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship  He then crowned it all by giving me the privilege of being the Best Graduating Student in my set. It is a privilege  I must also say that  It is a privilege that we are all here experiencing the joy of finishing strong and well

One major thing that has contributed to my success in this journey is the Gift of men. I was blessed and surrounded by the right people, those that propelled me forward in all ramifications.

The Bible Says in Prob 11:14 "where no counsel is, the people fall: But in the multitude of counselors, there is safety." I asked questions, I sought counsels, then put in diligence- these were my greatest weapons of academic excellence.

Over the years, we've built capacity, we've imbibed our core values and it is of no coincidence that we are the REFORMER Set. I look forward to us making God proud and making Landmark University Proud.

Remember, Oluwanifemi says, "I can be more, you can be more, it just requires a little more effort." So let's put in the work, let's show our significance to the world.

My sincere appreciation goes to my heavenly father who saw me through these 5 glorious years of real-time transformative training.

Then to the president of David Oyedepo Foundation, Bishop David Oyedepo - A very strong support system.

My profound gratitude also goes to my family - my Parents, my uncles, aunties and my wonderful Siblings who gave me all the support that I needed to succeed, without holding back.

Also, to my lecturers for the amazing academic knowledge impacted.

This appreciation will not be complete without mentioning the Landmark University Student Council, a body that has groomed me and contributed immensely to my growth

I would like to shout out to my colleagues in the department of Electrical and Information Engineering, and to the College of Engineering at large.

WE ARE REFORMERS

The Chief Editor's Desk

Pathfinder Olori Oghenemaero.

An ancient yet famous saying goes, ‘heavy is the head that wears the crown.’ While many expect a crown to synonymize burden or stress, I can testify that a crown, when matched with the heart’s true intentions, bears no burden but rather expresses uniqueness, diversity, inert satisfaction, and, more importantly, utmost fulfillment. This is what you will observe and admire while scrolling through the pages of the 8th set’s yearbook. Beyond stringent expectations, the primary purpose of this yearbook is to distinctively spotlight the individuals, proprietors, and administrators of the 8th set and symbolize the exquisiteness and strength in the set’s name; Reformers.

Drawing inspiration from a line in the school anthem, “wisdom calls for change,” it is only befitting that the 8th set is avowed the ‘Reformers set.’ A name that synergizes with the vision of the Chancellor, Dr. David Oyedepo, and establishes a smooth harmony with the terms, pathfinder, pacesetter, and trailblazer that we are all already accustomed to. It is undoubtedly a blessing and a prophecy to be tagged a reformer, an agent of change, a refiner, and an improver.

Within these pages are persons who over 4/5 years have been groomed, primed, trained, and tailored to specific values and mind-shifts. The reformers set holds highflyers in academia, business, ministry, politics, and more through influence or independence. We have tried our best to showcase these peculiar characteristics in this yearbook, making it striking and attractive for every reader. Take to the importance the value each page carries as every name, word, dot, and ink all point to the victory we have attained by the grace of God.

It is noteworthy to acknowledge the doer of all things, the One who is and makes all things possible, our Helper, Provider, Sustainer, and Maker, God Almighty. For without Him, we would have no reason to laugh and celebrate. In the same vein, we appreciate the Chancellor, Dr. David Oyedepo, the pro-chancellor, Mrs. Faith Oyedepo, the Board of reagent, management, faculty, and staff of this great institution for the role they played in the actualization of OUR dream and their unmeasurable love, support and blessings thus far.

To the reformers, this is a time of bliss, focus, and expansion. A time to inhale the resources, knowledge, and experience gathered and then exhale the values, actions, and solutions which will establish you as you are in this world.

On this note, I present to you the Landmark University CLASS OF 2021, the 8th set; the Reformers set yearbook. So sit back, relax and enjoy.

Thank you,
Pathfinder Olori Oghenemaero.
